We understand that this meat is often for personal consumption, and as such, all custom processed meat is meticulously handled and clearly labeled “not for sale” in strict adherence to regulatory guidelines. You can bring us your livestock as whole carcasses or as bulk meat requiring further, more detailed processing. We are also pleased to offer our customers the option of USDA inspection for their livestock products. This rigorous inspection ensures that your meat products meet federal standards, providing an additional layer of quality assurance and the potential for wider distribution if you intend to sell your products through retail channels.
Expert Wild Game Processing: From Field to Freezer
We possess extensive experience and a deep respect for the tradition of hunting, offering specialized processing services for a wide array of wild game. This includes, but is not limited to, deer, moose, and bear. We understand the importance of timely and proper handling of wild game, which is why we accept animals with the hide either on or off. To ensure the best possible quality and to preserve the integrity of your harvest, we always recommend bringing your animal to our facility as soon as possible after the kill. It is particularly important to note that during the peak of rifle deer season, our processing schedule can fill up very quickly, so we encourage early communication and scheduling where possible.
For hunters wishing to commemorate their success with a trophy, we offer professional caping services for a modest additional fee. If you choose to let us keep the hide, we are happy to provide the skinning service at no charge. Furthermore, antlers, prepared as a skull cap suitable for a plaque mount, are returned to you without any additional cost.
Our processing methods for wild game are designed to yield the highest quality product. All cuts are performed boneless, and we strictly avoid the use of band saws, which can introduce bone fragments and compromise the texture of the meat. Instead, every piece of meat is meticulously hand-trimmed by our skilled butchers and cut precisely to your individual specifications. Burger meat, a popular choice for wild game, is ground twice to achieve a consistently fine and desirable texture. We also take pride in our ability to create a diverse variety of fresh sausage flavors from your game. Each batch of sausage is hand-mixed with select seasonings and ground twice before being packaged according to your preference, either in bulk packages or in natural casing links. All other cuts of wild game are expertly hand-trimmed, then carefully wrapped first in high-quality wax paper and subsequently in durable freezer paper to protect against freezer burn. As an alternative, we also offer vacuum sealing for extended freshness. Every package that leaves our facility is clearly and accurately labeled with the specific cut of meat, the date it was packaged, and its net weight, ensuring there is no confusion when you are ready to enjoy your harvest.
